The members of a unity government for Libya has been announced under a UN-backed plan.The Presidential Council tasked with that mandate named a total of 32 ministers.
The Council had pushed back the deadline by 48 hours, amid reports of disputes over the distribution of ministerial posts according to Reuters.
Reports indicate seven of the council’s nine members signed the document.
Presidential Council was given one month to name a Government of National Accord to stabilise the country, which was thrown into turmoil following growing threats from Islamic State militants.
Meanwhile an agreement signed by the two rival parliaments in Morocco in December, under the auspices of the United Nations is yet to be ratified by the both parties.
Libya since 2014 has two rival government and parliament , one operates in the capital, tripoli the other from the east of the country.
